Wand: Rose Wood with Unicorn Tail, 10 1⁄2 inches Patronus: Tiger Boggart: Shark Katie, Katie, Katie! She's a very sweet girl, friendly to a fault almost. To see Katie without a smile is nearly impossible, she's always been very outgoing and easy to get along with. She is the type of girl that you'll see sitting across the room on a bad and she'll smile at you for no reason at all. Just to smile. If someone were to tell her she was beautiful she'd blush and tell them that they are mental. She's a very humble girl, unaware of anything other than her friends, those she loves, and Quidditch at times. Katie can be a very curious person when she gets lost in thought and wants to find the answer to something, she doesn't like not knowing what is bothering her when something is. When she is nervous she tends to look down at her finger tips and starts to pick at them, she'll also bite her finger nails when she is lost in thought. Katie has a strange habit of sitting in a ball regardless if it is cold or not, she often finds herself getting asked if she is cold. Katie is always up for a joke or having fun, if someone asks her "hey you want to go out and have a snowball fight" at 8pm she is very likely to say yes with out even thinking about it. Sometimes Katie can be a bit of a space case, but not to the point where she really forgets important things, she just can come of that way in the way that she acts at times. If a friend is sad, she'll stop everything to help them out, doesn't matter how big or small the problem is, she will do everything in her power to help them, and do her best to cheer them up. Katie is a big believer in laughter, laughing is perhaps the most important thing in the world. Especially in these dark times is laughter the most important thing in the world. Katie's typical bubbly personality did take a bit of a hit when she was placed in St Mungos after the "necklace incident" her nervous habits were seen more clearly at that point in her life. She also picked up tapping her feet while she was at St. Mungos, mostly because she was extremely bored. Katie doesn't handle bored well, she likes to be active and doing things with her time. . Katie is a bit of a tomboy, she grew up with an older brother, and always wanted to be "one of the boys." As Katie got older she gained her confidence back, and her sweet, friendly, optimistic personality came back. When Katie is mad, or annoyed, or sick of dealing with something she can be very blunt and rude. She's not the most patient of people either when she is tired or upset. She likes to get things done right away, sitting around and waiting isn't something she's good at. Katie is a sweetheart, but if you push her too far she can become a bitch (however rarely and only after being walked on for a few years). Katie is also a little bit sensitive, she takes things a little bit too personally sometimes, even though she pretends that she doesn't and tries to look as though nothing can get to her, a lot more gets to her than she likes to admit. Katie hates to admit when she feels weak, she is terrified of failing, and sometimes she feels that showing weakness is failing. Likes: Laughing, Quidditch, spending time with friends, cheering people up, tea, harp lager, animal, family, dancing like an idiot, chatting about sports, tigers, puppies, and more! Dislikes: Sharks, sharks, sharks... Being alone, failing, cheep beer, people who are rude to her family or friends, the color yellow for a shirt, Cranberry's, hang-nails. Strengths: Katie is physically in really good shape, she's got a sharp mind, she's brave, willing to try new things, really friendly, she's good at cheering people up. She's got the ability to love unconditionally to her friends and family. Appearing happy when she isn't. Katie's good at getting things done, and she knows how to work hard for what she wants. She's great at being there for people. Weaknesses: Katie is terrible with letting people in at first, she's terrified of failing and that hinders her a lot more than she'd ever admit. Katie also isn't the best with admitting when something is wrong, she is better at keeping it in. Katie is too friendly, she'll do just about anything for people, and has often been hurt for it. Manner of Speech: Sweet, a hint of humour, full of laughs. Katie is often smiling. She’s a little bit quiet though. Manner of Movement: Katie is slightly clumsy on the ground. She has great balance, but she is often in the way. She isn’t exactly graceful on the ground. More: Katie is adorable, she's got a youthfulness about her that she just can't see it herself sometimes. She's pretty low key in the way she goes about her fashion, and her look. Aidan and Sarah meet at school as they were both in Gryffindor, the two were fast friends, and stayed close throughout the 7 years of school. When they graduated they figured living together would be easier than doing anything else. They weren't expecting to fall in love. It took 4 months before they admitted to having feelings for each other. A month after they first kissed they got married, Aidan broke every rule that had been set for him, but he didn't care. He loved Sarah. They moved up to Keswick three months before Tarquin was born. Aidan took over the pubs right away, and they finally started to live life as a happily married couple. Katarina Pagie Bell was born to Aidan Wilson Bell and Sarah Elizabeth Bell on April 4 1979, in Keswick, England. Katie's mother is a muggleborn while her father is a pureblooded wizard. Both of her parents were in Gryffindor, along with her older brother Tarquin Bell (5 years Katie's senior). Katie was a pleasant surprise, her parents had always wanted a second child but had given up after years of trying. Aidan thought it would be a good idea to let there son name her, so Tarquin named her Katarina Pagie, with the idea that he wanted to call her KP. For a 5 year old it sounded like a wonderful idea. Although Tarquin was extremely set on Katie's middle name to be spelled "Pagie" instead of "Paige." Katie started to tease him about that from a very young age. As Katie got older she spent a lot of time with her brother and his friends. From the time that she was 3 she always wanted to be 'one of the boys' while her brother just wanted to protect her. So he always let his little sister tag along and play with him. By the time that Katie was 6 her brother had already started to teach her to fly. The kids parents weren't exactly pleased when Katie came in after her first time flying with just her brother. It was the same year that Tarquin left for Hogwarts he owled his baby sister once a week giving her tips on flying and keeping her updated on life. Katie didn't like not having him around. At first it was really hard for Katie to not have her brother around, however after some time she started to become much more comfortable with the idea and talked her father into flying with her almost every evening after he got home from work, or right before he went to work depending on what his days were like. Her father is the owner of a string of Wizarding Pubs in the Lake Distract while her mother worked at the English Ministry as a Curse Breaker. During the summers when her brother would come home were the best times of Katie's young life. It meant that she got to fly with him, and have him around. The week before he'd come home that was all Katie would talk about, was her big brother was coming home!!! The last summer before she started Hogwarts was the first time her brother was getting sick of his 11-year-old sister tagging along with him, he was too cool to have some little girl tagging along with him. Katie was extremely hurt when he told her she couldn't do something with him and his friends. She spent a week avoiding him because she didn't want to be around such a "mean jerky head" as she called him one night after dinner. A few weeks after that Tarquin started to feel a little bit guilty for being so rude to his little sister and started to fly with her once a day until summer was over. The shopping trip to get all of her school stuff had been a really fun one for Katie, she was actually excited to go to school. And she got her wand, Cherry Wood, Unicorn tail hair, 9 in. Katie was really excited about the Unicorn hair, she was told it was from a strong young male unicorn and it would do her well to be excited and happy about her wand. Riding the train the first time was really nerve racking for the youngest member of the Bell family, Katie was terrified she wouldn't end up in Gryffindor, she was nearly positive she'd be a Hufflepuff... Not that Katie had a serious problem with Hufflepuff, she just really wanted to be a Gryffindor. Katie was quickly sorted into Gryffindor, luckily. She was so nervous she nearly fell off the stole. The hat had laughed softly and called out Gryffindor without even saying anything else. She was really amused by that. Joining the Gryffindor table, Katie first met leanne, her first friend at Hogwarts! Katie's first year passed mostly as a blur. Spending the entire summer before her 2nd year training to try out for the Quidditch team, she was ecstatic when she made the team. The tryouts went really well, and according to her brother she blew away all of the other chasers trying out. After she joined the team that was when her life at Hogwarts really started. Bonding with Angelina Johnson, Alicia Spinnet, Fred Weasley and George Weasley, she finally had a group to call her own. Sure she didn't have classes with them, and didn't live with them, yet the majority of her time was spent with them. Katie's love for having fun blended well with the two Weasley twins, and playing Chaser with Angelina and Alicia bonded the three of them to a point where Katie didn't know what she'd do with out them. From 2nd year until her 6th year things for her personally were always comfortable, she had her own group of friends, and she was able to see her brother on the holidays (after her graduated). She adored her friends to pieces, and they all seemed to love her as well. Katie at times had a crush on Oliver Wood, but it always went away fast when Quidditch and her best mates took the lead in her thoughts. Of course she always thought that the twins were adorable, more so George than Fred, she never once voiced that outside. She blamed it on the fact that they were all such good friends that it was bond to happen. After 6th year, when all of her friends minus leanne were gone she wasn't looking forward to her 7th year at all. Katie was a little disappointed that she didn't get captain, however she was happy that Harry had it. She figured that he really needed it, something to cheer him up a bit. Shinning at tryouts she was able to keep her place as one of the Gryffindor Chasers. Katie didn't get to play a lot during her 7th year, due to the unfortunate incident with the necklace at a Hogsmeade visit. The months spent in a small room getting better were some of the hardest of Katie's life. She spent every day after she woke up beating herself up. How could she possible have let something like that happen to her. She was better than that wasn't she? Questioning herself started to beat the normally happy girl to pieces. While locked away Katie picked up a camera. It was the first time she'd ever really thought of taking pictures. She took pictures of people mostly. She couldn't do a lot at first, so taking pictures became part of her life. Tarquin visited her nearly every day regardless of what he had going on. His baby sister needed him and that was all that mattered to him. Katie went through some very dark times, wishing that she would have just died, wishing that it would all be over. She spent time second-guessing herself. Although her friends visited her, she still couldn't help but feel as though she weren't good enough. Katie was angry with herself for not remembering anything, she wanted to remember everything, but she couldn't remember a thing, it was a terrible feeling. When Katie was finally let out, she was ecstatic to go back to school. Although she had a lot to catch up on she spent most of her time focused on Quidditch, it was after all the most important thing to her (although she did start to take a lot more pictures). Happy to have her spot back on the team, she rather wanted to hug Harry when she found out that she hadn't lost it. To her surprise she could still play rather well and helped the team out quiet a bit in winning the cup for the year. It really did help her to get slightly back to herself. It was in that match that Katie realized that she really was going to be okay, she just needed to believe in herself a little bit more. War involvements: When Katie left school she wanted to help, but honestly she wasn't really sure she knew how to. She'd have considered joining the Order had she thought she could so some good. She wanted to go into Quidditch, it took her a good few months to realize that with the war, and with the millions of other talented people out there, she just wasn't cut out for it. Katie could have made a reserve team for one of the lower teams in the league, and almost decided too. That was until she realized that maybe her heart wasn't as into Quidditch as she thought it was. She moved back home and basically worked at one of her fathers pubs hiding from the war in some ways. Katie didn't know if she could help, or how she could help. The few things she did catch wind of from over hearing people she often passed on to someone she knew could help, but that was the extent of how she knew how to help. Katie spent a lot of that time going to random areas in the Lake Distract taking pictures. It started to become the only thing that calmed her down. It wasn't until she heard of some of her townsfolk disappearing in late October 2000 that Katie started to realize that hiding from everything wasn't going to do anyone any good. She was on her way to London, slowly as she wasn't sure if going was the right idea. She stopped along the way taking pictures of muggles and wizards a like. It was November 10th 2000 when Katie got stopped in a small town, she ended up lending a hand to an old man for a couple days, and before she knew it everything was over. If asked, she is sometimes disappointed in herself for not doing more, but in the end she knows that getting in the way probably wouldn't have helped anything at all. She went back home in December and had a long talk with her father about what she wanted to do with her life. Her father hugged her and told her to go figure it out. Katie left home in January 2001 to take pictures for Witch Weekly's wedding section. She moved to Diagon Alley that year and started to find her own two feet again. She only lasted 6 months with Witch Weekly, Katie always felt guilty about what they published about people she'd grown up with and cared about. So she quit and got help from her father and a few mates to start a freelance business of basically just being a camera for hire (of course only the things that were moral) she started to take Quidditch photos for posters, and worked with teams for player cards. Katie also was hired to do high-profile events, to take pictures for the events, not for tabloids or things like that. She'll also do kids birthday parties for free, or her friends weddings. After about 4 months of that she found a steady job with Quidditch Monthly as a photographer.
